For Radu David Țurcanu, this was his first match on the main draw of an ATP tournament, having received a wild card — marking an important milestone in his professional career.

After the match, the Romanian player highlighted his serve as one of the areas where he felt he could have done more: "I think I could have served better — that's where I lost quite a lot."

Țurcanu's short-term goal is to climb the rankings, targeting a place inside the ATP top 350 and consistent participation in Challenger-level tournaments. When it comes to his game, he considers his forehand to be his strongest shot and the one that earns him the most points, though he acknowledges he still has work to do on his court positioning.

Inspired by the style of Carlos Alcaraz and Ben Shelton, as well as left-handed players such as Rafael Nadal, Țurcanu is aware of the steps needed to make the next leap in his career: more muscle mass, greater consistency and higher shot intensity.

He also mentioned that additional financial support would contribute significantly to his development and his access to higher-level international competitions.
