Persistent rain reduced Thursday’s action at the Tiriac Open presented by UniCredit Bank to just two completed games.
Four second-round singles matches and three doubles matches were on the original schedule in Bucharest, but only one of those encounters even began. Fabian Marozsan and Stefanos Sakellaridis began their maiden Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting at around 6 p.m. local time (EEST) but were soon off court again as the rain returned with third seed Marozsan serving at 1-1, 40/40.
The delays mean there will be a bumper day of action on Friday in Bucharest. The four remaining second-round singles matches, including Marozsan against Sakellaridis, are scheduled to be played, as are all four quarter-finals. Second seed Adrian Mannarino and fifth seed Sebastian Baez are among those who may have to play two matches in a day at the clay ATP 250. See the full order of play below.
