The 24th edition of the ATP 250 Țiriac Open, presented by UniCredit Bank, will take place in Bucharest from March 30 to April 5, 2026. The tournament, with a total prize fund of €612,620, will be held at the Simona Halep National Tennis Center, located at 11 Pierre de Coubertin Boulevard.
This elite competition, already well established and eagerly anticipated by fans and players alike, reaffirms its status as a flagship event in professional tennis, once again confirming Bucharest’s position on the map of major ATP tournaments.
The 2026 edition brings together players who have already linked their performances to the tournament in Romania. Italian Flavio Cobolli, the defending champion of the Țiriac Open and winner of three ATP titles, returns as one of the favorites and the current world No. 15. Other notable players set to enhance the spectacle of the sport this year include Márton Fucsovics (Hungary), the 2024 Bucharest champion, Mariano Navone (Argentina), the 2024 finalist, and Sebastián Báez (Argentina), the 2025 finalist.
“This tournament is, year after year, a benchmark for international tennis. Bucharest deserves a strong tournament, and Romania deserves to be consistently present on the ATP calendar. The competition will feature a 28-player singles main draw and 16 doubles teams, with matches played on clay courts, using the Hawk-Eye Electronic Line Calling system and Dunlop ATP Clay official balls, in accordance with ATP standards.
Among the confirmed participants for the 2026 edition, alongside champions and finalists from recent editions, are several notable ATP Tour players, including Miomir Kecmanović (Serbia), a consistent Top 100 presence, Adrian Mannarino (France), known for his extensive tour experience, and Arthur Rinderknech (France), recognized for his offensive style and powerful serve.
They will be joined by Botic van de Zandschulp (Netherlands), a Grand Slam quarterfinalist, Nuno Borges (Portugal), who defeated Rafael Nadal in the final ATP final of Nadal’s career, Fábián Marozsán (Hungary), known for victories over top players, Alexander Shevchenko (Kazakhstan), one of the rising players on the ATP Tour recognized for his aggressive baseline game, as well as German player Daniel Altmaier, particularly impressive on clay.
The new generation will be represented by Emilio Nava (USA). Also competing will be Damir Džumhur (Bosnia and Herzegovina), a former ATP title winner, alongside promising players Raphaël Collignon (Belgium) and Francisco Comesaña (Argentina). Together with other world-class athletes, these players shape a highly competitive draw, promising exciting matches for all tennis enthusiasts.

Competition schedule
The official draw ceremony for the ATP 250 Țiriac Open, presented by UniCredit Bank, will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The qualifying rounds are scheduled for March 29–30, while the singles main draw matches will be played between March 30 and April 5.
The doubles competition will take place between April 1 and April 5, with the finals scheduled for Sunday, April 5, the doubles final at 11:30 AM and the singles final at 2:00 PM.
The singles main draw will consist of 17 direct acceptances, 4 qualifiers, 3 wild cards, 2 special exempts, 1 late entry, and 1 Next Gen reserved spot. The doubles draw will feature 16 teams, including 14 direct acceptances and 2 wild cards.
Points and prize money distribution
The total prize fund for the 2026 edition amounts to €612,620, with prize money awarded in accordance with ATP regulations.
In singles, the champion will receive 250 ATP ranking points and €93,175, the runner-up will earn 165 ATP points and €54,360, while the semifinalists will each receive 100 ATP points and €31,955.
In doubles, the winning team will receive 250 ATP points and €32,410, the runners-up 150 ATP points and €17,410, while the semifinalist teams will each earn 90 ATP points and €10,190.
Since its return to the ATP calendar, the tournament has reaffirmed public interest in top-level men’s tennis and Romania’s organizational capacity to host major sporting events, contributing to the consolidation of Bucharest’s position within the international professional circuit.
